City of Stow – Fire / EMS Station #2

Highlights Include:

• Construction manager for this 2-story Fire/EMS Station.
• Project included a hose tower.
• A challenge with this project was the presence of unstable soils that had to be addressed.  To prepare for building construction, a helical pier and grade beam system was installed, which involved drilling to a depth of 14 inches to reach stable conditions. Installed steel beams and then filled with concrete.
• A geo-grid system was also installed to stabilize the critical site drive areas.
