Highlights Include:

  • Construction began in  in November 2013 and is scheduled to be completed by Spring 2015.
  • Will be 61,413 SF.
  • The first and third floors will house all of the 3rd District Police functions.  The third floor will be the new home for the city-wide public safety communication headquarters for the Police, Fire and EMS  Dispatchers and Call Takers.
  • The lockers of two of the 3rd District Police Officers who died in the line of duty will be installed in the new facility.
  • The building will have a community and safe room.
  • The building is designed to be energy efficient and meet LEED Silver standards.
  • The site and building will  feature public art, designed by local artists.
