The first new police station built in Cleveland since 1974, the three-story building on Chester Avenue, just west of E. 55th Street, is quite a structure to behold. In collaboration with design architects, Panzica completed construction of the 60,000-square-foot facility in July.

The exterior of the building was composed of three distinct materials which mirrors the functionality of the interior. This modern, 21st century facility consists of a communications center on the top floor, core police functions on the second floor and a first floor designed for community engagement – complete with meeting space that is available for use by Cleveland area organizations. Working through two brutal winters to construct the building, Panzica Project Manager, Chris Montgomery comments on the process: “We had a few surprises along the way, but we were very pleased with how things came together.”
